Week 1 Term 1

Welcome to Week One of Term One. This week you will be introduced to the rules of Language Class along with the guidelines for a proper journal, Wordskills, and organization of your portfolio.

Do not complete any homework assignments or Journal until after Thursday September 8^th!!! I will teach you how to complete a proper journal during the next few lessons.

Materials Needed:

3 Ring Binder/Portfolio Divided into the following Sections:

Section 1: Warm-ups

Section 2: Notes

Journal One: In order to save money, your principal is thinking about canceling all field trips for the remainder of the year. Write an essay persuading him or her to allow students to continue attending field trips. Use specific reasons and examples to support your response.
